Who You Actually Get
Every person we put forward is senior. That means five years minimum in their craft, shipped production work you can verify, and the judgment to push back when a brief is wrong. We do not pad teams with juniors hidden behind a lead. If the role calls for a senior engineer, that is who shows up on the call.
Our vetting runs in two passes. The first is technical, a live problem in their stack plus a code review of something they have shipped. The second is collaboration, a working session with one of our leads to check how they handle ambiguity, async written updates, and disagreement. People who clear both passes are the only ones you meet.
How Engagements Run
Our people work inside your setup, not next to it. That means your Slack, your Jira or Linear, your repo, your standups, your sprint cadence. Your engineering manager owns their work and writes their reviews. We stay out of the day to day so the reporting line is clean and the accountability sits where it should.
On our side, a Brandrums lead checks in weekly with both you and the engineer. The point is to catch friction early, swap someone out fast if the fit is wrong, and make sure the person is growing rather than coasting. You get a single contact for contract changes, replacements, and ramp questions, so you are not chasing five threads to make one decision.
Roles We Cover
Our deepest bench is full-stack engineering on TypeScript, Next.js, React, Node, and Python, plus mobile work in React Native and native Swift and Kotlin. Product design, UX research, and product management are also strong areas where we place people regularly. DevOps and platform engineering on AWS, GCP, and Kubernetes round out the core list.
We are honest about the edges. Data engineering, ML, and embedded firmware are areas where we have good people but a smaller pool, so timelines for those roles are longer and we will say so up front. If a request sits outside what we can staff well, we tell you on the first call instead of stringing the search out for weeks.
Contracts, Ramp, And Exits
Contracts run month to month with 30 days written notice on either side. No long lock-ins, no penalty clauses for ending early. Rates are fixed for the engagement so your finance team is not chasing surprise invoices. Invoicing is monthly in arrears with clear timesheets attached.
IP assignment is signed before the first commit, covering the person, Brandrums, and any subcontractor in the chain. NDAs and data processing agreements are ready to sign in your template if you prefer. When an engagement ends, we run a two-week ramp-down by default so the person can write handover docs, pair with whoever is staying, and close out their tickets cleanly. The paperwork is boring on purpose. That is what prevents the trouble.
