Discovery and Product
Shaping
Every app we build starts with a short, focused discovery. We run working sessions with the people closest to the customer, map the user journeys that actually drive value, and pressure-test the scope before a single screen gets designed. The goal is not a thick deck. It is a clear written brief, a prioritized feature list, and a realistic timeline you can defend internally.
This is where we have the honest conversations most agencies avoid. What belongs in the MVP and what waits for v2. Where speed matters more than polish and where polish is the product. Which integrations carry real risk on timeline. We cut features that look good on a roadmap but slow the launch, and we protect the ones that earn the first cohort of users. You leave discovery with scope, budget, and a build plan that holds up.
UX and Visual
Design
Design starts with information architecture and low-fidelity flows, not pixels. We map the screens a user touches to complete each core job, validate the flow against the brief, and only then move into wireframes and prototypes. Clickable prototypes in Figma let stakeholders feel the product weeks before code starts, which is where we catch the changes that would otherwise become rework later.
Visual design is built on a real design system: tokens for color, type, and spacing, components with documented states, and patterns that scale across iOS, Android, and web. Accessibility is baked in from the start, not bolted on at QA. We design for contrast, touch targets, motion preferences, and screen reader flow. The handoff to engineering includes the design system, annotated specs, interaction notes, and assets at every required density, so the build matches the design.
Engineering: Native
vs Cross-Platform
The native versus cross-platform choice is a product decision, not a religious one. We pick native when the app leans on platform-specific capabilities like ARKit, advanced camera pipelines, deep widget integration, or tight performance budgets in graphics and media. Native Swift on iOS and Kotlin on Android gives the cleanest path when the experience itself is the differentiator. Our default for most product apps is React Native or Flutter, which lets one team ship to both stores with shared business logic and platform-specific UI where it matters.
Whichever path fits, the engineering work goes deeper than the client. We design the API contract with your backend team, handle offline sync, push notifications, deep linking, and analytics instrumentation. Auth integrates with your identity provider. Payments use Apple and Google billing where required by store policy, Stripe or your processor of choice elsewhere. CI runs on every pull request with automated test builds delivered to TestFlight and Play Console internal testing.
Launch, Store Review,
and Post-Launch
Store submission is its own discipline. We prepare App Store and Play Store listings with the metadata, screenshots, preview videos, and review notes that get apps through first-time review without surprises. We handle the privacy manifests, data-use disclosures, and account-deletion flows Apple and Google now require. ASO basics get set up at launch: keyword research for your category, a title and subtitle that earn impressions, and screenshots that convert browse traffic into installs.
The first 90 days are where most apps quietly fail. We instrument crash reporting, performance monitoring, and product analytics so you see what is happening, not what you hope is happening. Weekly check-ins review crash-free rate, retention curves, funnel drop-off, and review sentiment. Hotfix releases ship through a fast lane when needed. Feature work resumes against a roadmap shaped by real usage data, not opinions from the loudest meeting.
